The Work We Take On

Most of the houses we get called to went up between 1951 and 2007, with the bulk of that stock dating to the 1960s and 70s across the 33 named areas we cover, from Greenbriar and Southwest just outside East Point to Jefferson Park and Sandtown.

Outlived springs and cables

That means a lot of the doors we see are second or third replacements on original tracks, or original doors that have outlived their torsion springs twice over. We handle broken springs, cables that have jumped the drum, rollers worn down to the bearing, bent tracks from a car bumping the door, and openers that grind, stutter, or just quit.

Full replacement when patching fails

We also handle full door and opener replacement when a repair doesn't make sense anymore - sometimes the frame is racked enough, or the panel rusted enough, that patching it just delays the real job.

Fencing and carpentry excluded

We don't do fencing, gates, or general carpentry. If it's not the garage door or the hardware that runs it, we'll tell you straight instead of taking the job anyway.

Our team

Who You Are Dealing With

A beige house with a dark gray garage door and a stone facade.

We're based at 2857 Main St in East Point, and the work we take is local - the service area runs from close-in spots like Greenbriar (1 mile) and Southwest (2 miles) out to farther stops like Chamblee and Powder Springs, roughly 18 miles off. That spread covers a lot of different housing ages and a lot of different door problems, but the cold-moderate climate here means the same seasonal issues show up across almost all of it: stiff springs in a cold snap, openers that start sticking once the temperature drops. We price and explain work the way we'd want it explained to us - what's broken, why, and what it costs to fix versus replace. We're not a national chain with a call center routing your job to whoever's closest; we're the people who show up.

What to expect

What Happens After You Call

You call 16785904767, tell us what the door is doing (or not doing), and we get a sense of whether it sounds like a spring, a cable, an opener board, or something structural like a bent track.

  1. In-person diagnosis first

From there we schedule a time to come look at it in person, because most garage door problems don't diagnose well over the phone - a spring that looks broken can turn out to be a cable, and vice versa.

  2. Price before any work

On site, we check the springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and opener, tell you what's actually wrong, and give you a price before we start anything. If the fix is simple, we often do it the same visit.

  3. Parts we may not carry

If it needs a part we don't carry on the truck - certain opener boards or less common panel sizes - we'll tell you that too, and give you a realistic sense of when we can get it.

Contacting Us

Serving East Point, GA

Call 16785904767 or come by 2857 Main St, East Point, GA 30344. We cover East Point itself and the surrounding area out to places like College Park, Hapeville, Union City, and Forest Park, and farther communities including Jonesboro, Avondale Estates, and Powder Springs. If you're not sure whether your address falls inside the area we run calls to, just ask when you call - it's easier to answer that in thirty seconds than to guess from a list. We're not able to quote a firm price over the phone before we've seen the door; what we can do is give you a realistic range once you describe what it's doing.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work on older torsion spring setups, or only newer doors?

Both. A lot of the housing in and around East Point dates to the 1960s and 70s, so we regularly work on older torsion and extension spring setups alongside newer doors. Parts availability is the main variable - common spring sizes we carry on the truck, less common hardware sometimes takes longer to source.

How far out from East Point do you go?

Our service area runs from close areas like Greenbriar and Southwest, just outside East Point, out to places roughly 15 to 18 miles away such as Powder Springs and Chamblee. If you're unsure whether your address is covered, call 16785904767 and ask before scheduling.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

Not a firm one. Garage door problems that sound the same on the phone - a door that won't open, a loud bang - can be completely different repairs once we're looking at the springs, cables, and track in person. We'll give you a realistic range on the call and a firm price on site before starting work.

Is it ever better to replace the door than repair it?

Sometimes. If the track is badly bent, the panels are rusted through, or the door is old enough that parts are hard to find, repair can cost close to what replacement would, with less to show for it. We'll tell you when we think that's the case instead of just patching it.
